A lot of times the slow down with getting points updated comes from getting the proper information from the tracks.
The best thing that has happened to D-11 is the GP series and the worst thing is some of the substandard tracks in the district. Some of the promoters try to do everything they can to have a good event by taking the time to water, prep the track and make it as good as possable for the racers.A good example is fastt traxx. Other promoters just worry about the entry fee and how much money they can take in without putting any effort out to have a good race track.A good example of this is Wildwood and Reno raceway. They are absolutely terrible. Everytime I have been their it's the same, dusty and hardpacked. I feel like I'm riding in the Nevada desert and the tracks remind me of a fair race. How these tracks keep an AMA/district sanction is beyond me! Just about every racer I have spoken with feels the same way. It just dosen't seem fair to the promoters that take the time and money to run a good event. I wish the district would would monitor the race promoters more closely to see what kind of effort they put into their events and reward good tracks with more races and remove events from substandard tracks until they step up to a standard or guidlines set by the district. Another problem is the lack of turnout at the MX events, I think one reason is because the district will have more than one track racing they same type of event on the same day. This spreads the riders to thin within our small district. It sucks when you only have 6 to 10 guys racing in your class because their are one or two other races going on as well that day.I will often travel to budds creek or red budd to race instead of d-11 because you will have more riders to race with. To most of us it's all about having a good time and thats what makes racing exciting, competition!
